{"id":1106,"date":"2021-02-05T18:11:05","date_gmt":"2021-02-05T18:11:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.redhawkdiscgolf.com\/draganfield\/?page_id=1106"},"modified":"2021-02-05T18:11:05","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T18:11:05","slug":"frostbite-doubles-players-meeting-email","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.redhawkdiscgolf.com\/draganfield\/frostbite-doubles\/frostbite-doubles-players-meeting-email\/","title":{"rendered":"Frostbite Doubles Players Meeting Email"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is the text of the email sent to players in lieu of a players meeting.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Hi Frostbite Doubles registrants (and waitlisters, just in case),<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Just want to note a few things in advance of the tournament since we won&#8217;t be doing the traditional players meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">First, if you for any reason will not attend the tournament, please let me know as soon as possible (call, text, email).\u00a0 If I know you&#8217;re not going to be here, I can adjust accordingly.\u00a0 If not, it is a big pain in the butt.\u00a0 Deadline to receive a refund for withdrawal is tonight (Friday) at 5pm.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Should some inconsiderate team fail to show up without notice on Saturday morning and you find that you are at your starting hole with no one to play with, the procedure will be to move to the hole <u><i>in front<\/i><\/u> and join that group (e.g. if you&#8217;re on hole 8, join the group on 9).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">OB areas:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The property line on the left side of holes 1 and 2 is OB.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The property line on the right side of hole 18 is OB.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The pond on hole 8 is NOT OB.\u00a0 It is frozen enough to hold weight, so play on.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">This is a straight forward best shot doubles tournament (no other formats). Both players throw from each lie then choose the better of their two shots to determine their next lie.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">We will be re-sorting groups by score for round 2. The plan is to turn around as quickly as possible (20-30 minutes after last card turned in).\u00a0 Please consider bringing your lunch rather than trying to go out to get it during the break.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Parking is obviously limited due to the snow so please park as economically as possible (don&#8217;t leave half a space between cars). Parking on the street is going to be necessary for the late comers.\u00a0 DO NOT PARK uphill of our driveway (mailbox side of the entrance).\u00a0 Please park downhill of the driveway (dirt portion of the road) along our property line.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">COVID-19 related conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">There will be no formal players meeting<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Masks\/face coverings are required in and around pro shop area<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">There will be no registering\/payments day-of, <u>including for ace pot<\/u><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">One player from each team should check in the team in the morning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">One player from each group should retrieve scorecard from board and turn it in after round<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">First round groupings will be posted at <a class=\"moz-txt-link-freetext\" href=\"http:\/\/redhawkdiscgolf.com\/draganfield\/frostbite-doubles\">http:\/\/redhawkdiscgolf.com\/draganfield\/frostbite-doubles<\/a> by 6pm on Friday night but please check the board before heading out to your hole in the morning just in case of changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Last thing is payouts.\u00a0 Payouts will be done electronically after the tournament. It was a required option to list preferred method and account during registration.\u00a0 Many people failed to do this properly, listing only &#8220;paypal&#8221; or &#8220;venmo&#8221; without identifying an account.\u00a0 If you are one of those, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> please go back and edit your registration with this information to ensure you receive any payouts.\u00a0 Without that info, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">my default will be to try to send PayPal to the email address(es) the team used to register on Disc Golf Scene.\u00a0 If that doesn&#8217;t work, it&#8217;s on you to let me know or you won&#8217;t get paid at all.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Thanks for reading all the way down to the bottom.
