Player Program/Caddy Notes

The preliminary Player Program and Caddy Notes is now posted.  Players are encouraged to look it over and ask for clarifications if anything isn’t clear.

The final version will be posted and sent to all players via email by Tuesday, May 31.

All players should take note of the layout they will be playing on Talon so they can be sure they are practicing the correct tees before the event.  Saturday divisions will be playing the “Short Odds” layout, which is comprised of short tees on the odd-numbered holes and long tees on the even-numbered holes.  Sunday divisions will be playing all long tees.

Registration dates

We’ve added a new wrinkle to our registration procedure: early registration for sponsors.  Limited to 18 spots per tournament day (36 total spots), players will be allowed to register a week early by paying a $20 tee sponsorship in addition to their entry fee.  When those 36 spots go, there won’t be any more available until open registration starts on Tuesday, March 1.  So mark your calendars and set your alarms.

Early registration for sponsors opens 8am on Tuesday, February 22.

Open registration for all players opens 8am on Tuesday, March 1.

Title Sponsor

We are happy to announce that Westside Discs has graciously stepped in to be our title sponsor.  This is their second time in the role (2016) and we’re glad to have them back.  As part of their support of DDGC20, every amateur player is going to receive a tournament logo dri-fit tee shirt.

CCDG coverage

This year, our historical (in size) FPO division is getting some extra special attention.  Central Coast Disc Golf, one of the most popular disc golf channels on Youtube, will be sending a crew to cover our pro women.  They will choose one card to cover in round 1, then cover the lead card in round 2 and the DT9.  The only unknown at this point is when the coverage will be posted (it will not be immediate).

This coverage is being made possible by some generous sponsors.  If you’d like to help sponsor the coverage or the event in general, please use the contact page to get in touch.

More sponsors!

Just got off the phone with Tim at Hawk’s Next Disc Golf in Ayer Massachusetts. Tim started his disc golf days playing at Dragan Field and now that he’s in the disc golf business for himself, he’s giving back to his old stomping grounds with a generous sponsorship of DDGC19: all amateur players will receive a Hawk’s Nest stamped disc in their player packages.  This in addition to the usual DDGC stamped disc and a DDGC tee shirt courtesy of Latitude 64.  Thank you to Tim and Hawk’s Nest Disc Golf for the support.

Also, back for year number two as a sponsor is Zanfel.  Zanfel, the safe and effective topical solution for poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac, will be providing some of their excellent product for CTP prizes as well as informational pamphlets for player packages.
